APEX PARK

Public BBQ

This compact donation-based campsite sits directly opposite the local police station in a charming small town, offering excellent value for travellers seeking a peaceful overnight stop. The site accommodates 4-5 vehicles comfortably, though larger rigs might find the space challenging. Hot showers with 3-minute timers and immaculately maintained toilet facilities anchor the amenities, while a single power box provides $1-per-hour electricity hookups. Level drive-through sites nestle under large shady trees, creating pleasant camping spots despite the highway location remaining surprisingly quiet. A fenced playground keeps children entertained, and the town itself rewards exploration with historic buildings adorned with brass plaques detailing their origins. The local butcher earns particular praise, while the servo offers decent pizza for those preferring not to cook. The 48-hour maximum stay policy allows ample time to appreciate this well-maintained facility that demonstrates genuine country hospitality.
